Karyn Haney's passion for jewelry can be traced back to her middle school days when she began creating      beaded designs at a local jewelry store in Hinsdale, IL. Her formal training took her to Drake University, the University of Illinois, Urbana and Lill Street Art Studios, Chicago. Working under several noted teachers, she immersed herself in the many aspects of jewelry design and gradually developed her signature concept, reinterpreting classical style for contemporary taste.
 
Often her designs are both elegant and whimsical in the same piece. She is inspired by the natural beauty and integrity of the stones and metals she works with and can't rsist incorporating a surprise element that makes the piece a truly creative work of art. At the same time, she is always conscious that even a work of art must be comfortable to wear.

Karyn creates her hand-made pieces in her studio located in the Ravenswood Art Corridor where she continues to design and develop her own unique lines of jewelry. Currently on display are The Luna Collection; The Anasazi Woven Collection and the Cypress Freeform Collection. Many of her one-of-a-kind pieces incorporate striking natural stones chosen in her travels both in the United States and Europe and several of her designs are made to be customized with your personal choice of gemstones.  This customizing, in addition to special sizing and other modifications such as a specific metal (14K or 18k gold, platinum, palladium, sterling and fine silver), are available on a special order basis.
